I know, I know. It’s been a long minute since I’ve sent anything out to my subscribers. I could tell that story but I think I’ll save it for now and just hope that what I’m about to show you will be a small peace offering.
There is a beautiful, intelligent, and hard-working indie author that needs our help! If you were subscribed last year, I did an indie author spotlight for this writer, so you may recognize her. However, she has come a long way since November and I know that I’m extremely proud of her. I wouldn’t be daring to show my face in your inbox after eight months of silence if I didn’t believe in this author and her project. So, let’s get to it.
Amanda Marquardt Kickstarter Campaign
Wait! I know you probably get pitched to all the time but please hear me out. When I tell you that I don’t even seek out small-town cowboy romances, I’m so serious. I know this genre is crazy popular right now with well-known series from Elsie Silver and Lyla Sage (yes, I had to look that up), and with how amazing I thought the Fallout Duet from Amanda Marquardt was, I know you will love them too! Not only does it have the cowboy romance and spice you love, it also has family drama, found family, suspense, and mental health representation.
On top of all that, Amanda is such an amazing and supportive member of the book community as well as her local community. Some of her latest projects include participating in an Anthology that benefits The Trevor Project as well as donating and compiling a list of aid programs for flood relief in Texas, where she lives. She deserves this so much and I really hope the book community can show some support to her as well. So, let me highlight some of this amazing campaign, which features a special edition omnibus and duet narration audiobook of When Sparks Fly!

When Sparks Fly is my debut novel. The idea came to me about ten years ago, as a way to process an event where I was "roofied" in a small town bar. Although my situation was not a worst-case scenario, I always contemplated "What if things had gone differently?"
I let the story sit on a proverbial shelf until early 2024, when I decided it was time to write the book. I wanted create a story where readers experienced the struggle to heal, and the beautiful romance that grew despite the odds. Thus When the Smoke Clears was born.
I believe in Human Voices Only, the same way that I believe in supporting real artists. All the work contained in this project is created by real people without the use of AI. Reward tiers reflect this, as I prefer to fund creatives and their time and effort is valuable. Join me in standing up for real people doing real work.
Tiers are divided into digital, physical, and combination tiers. As someone who once lived full-time in an RV with a husband and two kids, I FULLY recognize maximizing space.
